I really loved the decor. The wall was beautiful. Service was great and I enjoyed my food. I believe I ordered the frutti di mare. It was great. Everything was fresh. The noodles where hearty, unfortunately I dont remember the type. They were big though. The oysters were nice, just a little pricey.
Overview
Walking into Di Mauros Italian Restaurant, Pizzeria, Bar & Lounge feels like stepping into a neighborhood trattoria that just happens to be in the middle of Miami Beach. The location at 1464 Washington Ave, Miami Beach, FL 33139, United States is easy to spot, and on busy nights the hum of conversation spills onto the sidewalk. I first visited after a long beach day, hungry and skeptical, and left already planning a return. That kind of reaction doesnβt happen often, especially in an area packed with dining options.
What stands out immediately is the menu. It reads like a love letter to Italian comfort food, with pizzas, pastas, and classic starters laid out without pretension. A server once explained their pizza process to me in detail, from slow-fermented dough to high-heat baking that creates a crisp edge with a soft center. That hands-on explanation matched what landed on the table. The Margherita had balanced acidity from the tomatoes and just enough char to remind you why traditional methods still matter. Itβs the sort of place where wood-fired pies arenβt just a phrase, but a daily practice.
The pasta dishes show similar care. During one visit, I watched plates of rigatoni bolognese and seafood linguine leave the kitchen at a steady pace, each portion generous and aromatic. According to data from the Italian Trade Agency, authentic Italian cooking relies heavily on ingredient quality rather than complex techniques, and that philosophy is clear here. Simple sauces, well-cooked pasta, and flavors that donβt compete with each other. The kitchenβs consistency mirrors what many long-time reviews mention: dishes taste the same whether itβs your first visit or your tenth.
The bar and lounge side adds another layer to the experience. After dinner, the space naturally shifts into a relaxed hangout. Cocktails lean classic, with Negronis and spritzes showing up often, and the wine list favors Italian regions. A bartender once mentioned that most guests end up lingering longer than planned, which aligns with what hospitality researchers call family-style hospitality-a setting that encourages conversation and comfort rather than quick turnover.
Reviews across platforms like Google and Yelp consistently highlight service, and that matches my experience. Staff members remember returning guests and offer recommendations without sounding rehearsed. The National Restaurant Association notes that repeat customers are driven more by service quality than price, and this place seems to understand that balance well. Prices are reasonable for Miami Beach, especially given portion sizes and location.
There are a few limitations worth mentioning. On peak weekend evenings, wait times can stretch, and the dining room can get loud. If youβre looking for a quiet, intimate dinner, earlier hours work better. Parking in the area can also be tricky, something most South Beach locations struggle with, so rideshare or walking is often easier.
Overall, this restaurant manages to blend casual dining with a sense of tradition. Itβs not trying to reinvent Italian food, and thatβs precisely its strength. From the thoughtfully crafted menu to the lively lounge atmosphere and consistently positive reviews, the experience feels grounded and reliable. Each visit reinforces the impression that this is a spot built on real cooking, real service, and a genuine connection to guests rather than fleeting trends.

This place is the best of both worlds. Initially when you walk in, it's a classic family style restaurant but if you asked to be seated in the lounge, you are upgraded to a whole new world with sexy ambiance and great music. The food was phenomenal and the service was excellent. I will be returning again! Thanks Mauro!
This place is incredible! The owners are wonderful. They took the time to walk us through the specials for the night and the overall menu. They are soooo nice! After our main course, we ordered more food because it was so delicious. The drinks we had were also divine. This restaurant is Perfecto!
Benana was so kind and made me so happy! I really appreciate it. The atmosphere here was amazing, and the pasta was delicious. Iβm a slow eater, but they patiently waited until I was done, which was so nice! Also, I donβt know his name, but the server with tattoos on his left arm was very kind too. He even let me stay after eating until the rain stopped. I love this place!
The aesthetic and homey feeling of this place is the best part. The owner was super sweet and attentive. Kept asking us if we needed anything. The pasta was also very good from what you can see . i also had a margarita and it was good
I highly recommend this restaurant. We ordered steak, seafood pasta, and grilled squid. Every dish was delicious. And after the meal, my friend and I had so much fun that we forgot our credit card in the restaurant until the next day. The kind Betiana and the restaurant manager took the initiative to contact me and returned my credit card. I am very grateful to them. The food is delicious, the staff is attentive, and the boss, manager, and chef are all very friendly. For me, who is visiting Miami for the first time, I am deeply moved and highly recommended.
We are visiting from Toronto and decided to try this place out for dinner after having a lovely conversation with one of the servers earlier today. The ambiance in the restaurant is beautiful and the staff are so friendly and welcoming making sure you feel as if youβre at home. I ended up getting the fettuccine Alfredo with chicken and my goodness it was easily the best pasta Iβve ever eaten in my life. 10/10 would recommend everyone try this.
